The 1874 Sharps rifle is one of the most respected single shot rifles to ever be produced. During the 1870s, the Sharps heyday on the American western frontier, it garnered the nickname “Boss of the Plains”. During the same time period Sharps rifles were being customized with engraving and special features by the Freund & Bro. gun shop in the Wyoming Territory.
