One of the earliest holster patterns, the California Slim Jim came about during the California gold rush of the late 1850’s. Throughout the mid-late 1800’s the pattern changed very little, remaining with a slim, gun contouring fit with an attached belt loop. This holster is carried with a cant of approximately 45 deg.
