17th Century English Grandfather Clock by Thomas Tompion

This listing is for an extremely rare grandfather clock by Thomas Tompion (1639-1713). Tompion was known as the “Father of English Clockmaking” for his achievements within the world of scientific instruments. This clock movement and dial are by Thomas Tompion and were created during the late 17th century. The case, however was a later addition, built in 1844.
